This Cookie Policy explains which cookies we use on ecumetro.com and how you can control them. We apply Google Consent Mode v2, which means that Google advertising and analytics scripts remain blocked until you provide explicit consent.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser to remember information about your visit. Some are strictly necessary, others help us measure the use of the site and show you relevant advertising.
2. Cookie categories we use
Strictly necessary (always on): keep your session, your preferred language and the state of the consent banner. Analytics: allow us to understand which pages are most visited and detect failures. Advertising & remarketing: activated only if you accept and allow us to measure the effectiveness of Ecumetro ads on Google Ads. Personalization: remember your city of interest and your visual preferences.
3. Google Consent Mode v2
Ecumetro implements Google Consent Mode v2 in its advanced mode. By default all signals (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, analytics_storage and personalization_storage) are set to denied. Only when you accept a category the corresponding signal is sent and the associated cookies activate. Additionally we enable ads_data_redaction and url_passthrough to minimize the data sent to Google while consent is not granted.
4. How to manage your preferences
You can manage your cookies at any time from the "Cookie preferences" link located in the footer, or by clearing your browser's local storage — in which case you will see the banner again on your next visit.
5. Duration
Google analytics cookies last up to twenty-four (24) months. Advertising cookies last up to thirteen (13) months. Necessary cookies expire when you close the browser or after twelve (12) months depending on their type.
6. Third parties involved
The external providers we work with and that may install cookies with your consent are: Google Ads (AW-18064110603) and Google Analytics 4. These services are governed by their own privacy policies, available at google.com/policies.
